15 years ago, I embarked on an exhilarating journey as an educator & as I reflect upon those formative years, a plethora of vivid memories flood my mind, reminding me, as I entered the premises of Techno India Group Garia, exploring the grandeur of a vast school campus.                                                      A sprawling school campus, vast and expansive, had within its borders a world of possibilities for students, teachers and the entire learning community. With its wide-open spaces, diverse facilities, ample opportunities for exploration, a large school campus present a unique environment. Here the lush green fields, manicured gardens, towering trees create an environment conducive to outdoor activities, sports, recreation where students can stretch their legs and find solace in the natural surroundings. The vastness of the campus encourages exploration, sparks curiosity as students navigate their way through various areas, each holding its unique allure.

As an educator I find myself at the epicenter of knowledge and transformation, where the seeds of curiosity & growth are sown.  Each day I step into my school with a sense of purpose& dedication, fully aware of the profound impact, my role holds in shaping the minds and characters of young learners. My school is just more than a building, it’s a haven of knowledge & discovery. As an educator, I am proud of how my school has embraced modern teaching methodologies& technological advancements to enhance the learning. From interactive digital classrooms to online learning platforms, we leverage technology to engage students, making education more accessible& captivating. I am honoured to be a part of this remarkable journey.

When I joined Techno India Group Public School, Garia as an assistant teacher in May 2006, the school was still in an infant stage. It had classes from Nursery to Class V. The school started off with a handful of children. Seventeen years have passed since then and when I look back, a stream of thoughts and reminiscences and a thousand evanescent memories of happy days come alive. The founder and co-chairman of Techno India Group, Madam Prof. Manoshi Roy Chowdhury, a lady with admirable patience and support, gave us her continuous encouragement to bring the school to its present esteem. 

Gradually the school earned a name for itself and the number of students increased. We have fetes, exhibitions, cultural programmes, various competitions, debates, quizzes along with academics. Eminent personalities like Dona Ganguly, Srabani Sen and Bratati Bandhopadhyay have given our students a platform to culturally enhance their skills. Dibyendu Barua’s chess class is also popular among the students. It has been great fun all the way without a moment of monotony. 

The senior secondary department has also materialized and our long-cherished dream has been fulfilled. Our board results which have always been good have become increasingly better now. Today, this institution takes pride in its remarkable achievements under the guidance of our Principal Madam Ms. Tania Sen and the school has gradually made a mark for itself. I wish TIGPS, Garia attains more glory in the years to come.

My journey with TIGPS, Garia began long back in 2007. lt was a school with a handful of teachers & students. It was till class VI. An extremely homely environment prevailed in the school during that time. Much has changed since then. The school has transformed for the better over these years. At present the total strength of students is 1394 and that of teachers is 71.

I have worked under several principals and I must acknowledge that their cumulative efforts have brought our institution to this height. The contribution of the teachers cannot be overlooked. The board results of our school have improved over the years too. It is one of those institutions in Kolkata that aims at the holistic development of the learners. Our Principal Madam, Ms. Tania Sen has given a new direction to our school by undertaking several school wellness programs and innovative projects. She believes that teamwork & collaborative efforts can help us to achieve success and she has tried to instill these traits in the Techno family members. We believe that 'united we stand, divided we fall'. Let us shape educated human beings rather than mechanical robots devoid of love and emotion.

 Thank you Tania Sen... It was a wonderful experience. Special mention must be made of the age appropriate events chosen for the little ones. Children were so spontaneous. Could see that they loved participating. It was not a competitive event but a collaborative, fun based one that ensured an enriching experience for children. Leadership, teamwork, confidence, joyful learning... these were all displayed through the meticulously planned Sports Meet. It was my privilege and honour to attend the Sports Meet.

My journey in this school was for as long as fifteen years, since playgroup till 12th. I spent so many memorable hours with my respected teachers, friends and mates. With an excellent learning environment, not only did I learn from those books but from people that surrounded me for those six hours each day. I hope all my juniors have a wonderful learning experience too, realize what they truly are and find good along the way. I thank all my teachers who helped and supported me throughout this journey and of course our respected Principal Madam who always pushed us towards our growth.

"Time flies but it leaves it's shadow behind..."

The day when I first stepped into my school and looked up to witness my second home is still fresh and new in my mind. The vast, sprawling campus sheltered by towering coconut trees, a field with soft mowed green grass and a pure environment devoid of honking of vehicles and smoky patches filled my heart with immense peace and pleasure. Though, I feel myself unfortunate as I did not get the opportunity to start my school journey from TIGPS GARIA but my association with Techno Family for the last 7 years has gifted me a plethora of magical memories and a bunch of lifetime experiences. Besides building my character, shaping my personality and helping me acquire knowledge it has helped to nurture and foster the gems hidden within myself.

I am indebted to Principal ma'am, all my teachers and each and every one of my school for empowering me to reach my full potential. The lessons learnt, both inside and outside the classroom, have equipped me with the tools necessary to navigate the complexities of life and strive towards my goal.

It is painful yet of pride to step out of TIGPS GARIA and venture into the unknown world around. No matter wherever we are, we TIGPIANS know how to hold onto our roots and spread our branches far and wide across the globe.
